Erik Beehn (b. 1979) is an artist and printmaker currently living and working in Chicago.  Receiving his MFA from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2015, he has been a visiting lecturer at The University of Nevada Las Vegas, and The University of North Dakota.  Beehn has a history in printmaking, trained as a master printer for Gemini G.E.L., a fine art publishing house located in Los Angeles where he helped to produce projects for several artists, including Ann Hamilton, Ed Ruscha, and Ellsworth Kelly.  His work employs process as a form of content, investigating an arc of mark making throughout the 20th century, and the evolution of observational painting into abstraction.  Beehn has had solo exhibitions at The Contemporary Arts Center, and MCQ Fine Art in Las Vegas and is included in the permanent collections of The Las Vegas Art Museum, and The Marjorie Barrack Museum at UNLV.
